Internet Safety |
|
|
Our children are our most valuable asset. They are our hopes for a better, brighter future. Sadly, they are also the most vulnerable and targeted among us. Protecting our children must be our priority. Riverview continues to strive to protect our children every day. In doing so, we will continue to provide our parents with any information that would assist you in doing so at home, as well. As technology keeps advancing, opening new avenues for gathering information, exploration and communication, it also opens new doors for predators to exploit or harm our children. Please become familiar with your child’s use of the internet. Follow them on Twitter, be friends with them on Facebook. It is absolutely OK to “Creep” (as they call it) on them because somebody else, a predator, may be “creeping” on them, too! Protect your child. Attached you will find an information sheet on how to protect your child (and yourself) on Facebook. It gives you detailed information on what your settings should be and how to change them. Take a moment to read over this invaluable information. Click HERE to view Facebook Smart Card.
