Open Enrollment PDF

Dear Parents,

Annually at this time, we receive many questions about Open Enrollment.  As you may know the window opened on February 1st and closes promptly at 4:00 on February 19th.  Parents of students who already attend here under open enrollment no longer need to reapply, which is new to our school this year.  The only parents that would need to fill out a new application are students who are brand new to the open enrollment process or who currently attend under tuition waiver.  Forms are available in hard copy and to be submitted online at:   http://www.dpi.state.wi.us/sms/psctoc.html

Hard copies of the Open Enrollment forms are also available in the office and right here online on our website.  Please do not hesitate should you have any questions regarding the open enrollment process or with filling out the form.

Kindness Week PDF
During the week of February 8-12, Riverview School will celebrate Kindness Week. During this week teachers and staff can recognize student's kind acts by filling out a paper heart and placing it on student's lockers. To spread  more kindness, all grades will be writing friendly letters and making valentines for our soldiers in their library classes during this week as well. With the help of the student council, students and staff will also be able to purchase “sweets for a soldier” by buying a candy gram, too. The valentines and candy will be delivered to the soldiers to show our support for all they do!

Sweets for a Soldier PDF

Would you like to let a soldier know how much you appreciate what they are doing?  Well this is your opportunity to do just that. During the week of February 8-12, Riverview School will be celebrating “Kindness week”. During this week, students will be making Valentines or writing friendly letters to our soldiers serving in Iraq.  We thought it might be extra “Sweet” if we gave everyone the opportunity to send a “Sweet Treat” to the soldiers as well.  If you are interested in purchasing a Sweet Lip or Twister Pop for a soldier, then just fill out one of the attached slips. The cost for either sucker is $1.00.  Please include your name and a short message for the soldier on the slip.  Your child/children can turn in their money and slips to the office or to the student council members at lunch.  More slips can also be picked up in the office. The last day to purchase these suckers is February 10th.

Heifer International Purchase PDF
Dear Riverview Families,                         We are very happy to tell you that thanks to the generosity of the third grade, we collectively raised $140.00 for Heifer International!  We were able to purchase a goat and a flock of chicks for a family in need.  To quote Heifer International, “Like a stone dropped into still water, your gift ripples out for years to come, ending poverty, hunger and despair for families, villages…perhaps one day even entire countries.” Thanks to everyone, and Happy Holidays! The Third Grade Teachers – Mrs. Horn, Mrs. Feld, Mrs. Passler
